They Want You to Spend Hundreds On Disposable Pullups Each Month When This ONE Affordable Alternative is All You Need.

Let me start with a little confession.

I used to think pull-ups were just a part of the whole process. A necessary evil. I figured potty training would “just happen” eventually and until then, I was stuck buying box after box.

But then I did the math.
I was spending $80–$100 a month on diapers and pull-ups… and getting nowhere with actual potty training.

Worse? My toddler was getting comfortable in them.
No urgency, no progress, just soaked pullups and occasional tears when we tried to switch to underwear.

1. The Pull-Up Trap No One Talks About

Pull-ups are marketed as “training pants,” but let’s be real – they’re just expensive diapers in disguise.

They promise independenceconfidence, even milestones.
But in reality? They do exactly what diapers do: absorb every accident, keep your child dry, and delay the moment they actually learn to listen to their body.

And here’s the kicker –  Most kids don’t feel when they’ve had an accident in a pull-up. So they don’t connect the dots. They don’t feel uncomfortable. And they don’t care about making it to the potty.

That’s not “training.”
That’s a comfortable delay, disguised as progress.

Pull-ups remove the one thing that actually teaches potty awareness: the feeling of being wet.

And big diaper brands?
They know it.

They don’t make money when your toddler potty trains in 10 days.
They make money when you keep coming back, month after month – hoping this will be the box that finally works.

2. What Finally Helped?

Honestly, I didn’t expect to find anything different.
I assumed all potty training options were just more of the same – more gimmicks, more money, same results.

But one night, while scrolling through parent forums (in that tired, desperate way we all do at some point), I came across a post that caught my eye.
Not an ad. Not some miracle method. Just a quiet comment from another mom:

“Try Loondie. They’re not magic, but they helped us ditch the pull-ups for good.”

I clicked. I read. I hesitated.
It wasn’t a brand I’d heard of. The photos looked simple. Just… basic, soft-looking underwear with a little absorbent layer built in.

Honestly? I almost skipped it.

But something about it felt different.
There wasn’t a lot of hype. Just parents sharing what had actually worked.

So I ordered a set. (from here: Loondie Potty Undies)
And from the very first day, I could tell this was going to be a shift.

They looked like real underwear.
They felt like real underwear.
And most importantly, my toddler treated them like underwear.

That tiny change – the feeling of wetness, the routine of pulling them down to sit on the potty - finally made everything click.

They weren’t just clothes.
They were a signal:

“You're ready now. Let’s figure this out together.”

And we did.

3. Why Loondie Worked (When Pull-Ups Didn't)

I’m not saying Loondie is perfect. Accidents still happen. But it changed the entire nature of potty training in our house and my son was out of diapers and pull-ups after 2 weeks.

Here’s why it worked for us:

They looked and felt like real underwear

The extra layer caught small accidents without making a mess

I could toss them in the wash and reuse them the same day

My toddler actually started noticing when he was wet

They were easy for him to pull down on his own

If I could go back and talk to myself three months ago, I’d say this:
Stop wasting money on pull-ups. They’re not helping.

Loondie isn’t a magic fix. But it’s the only thing that finally got us off the diaper train.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Right now, they’re offering 5 pairs for the price of 2.
